6th Annual Sustainability Report
by Chelsea Ardley
It is amazing to realise that we have recently launched the 6th annual edition of the Corporate Protection Sustainability Report.
We were one of the earliest companies, particularly of our size, to commit to a formal report, backed by real plans and actions to make a difference to the sustainability of the group.
Today, sustainability reporting is not only more widespread but in many cases we are seeing this expectation in our tender activity. We believe that our track record in being ahead of the market stands us in good stead with our clients.
Once again this year the core deliverable of course is carbon output and we continue our detailed tracking of our footprint. Having now 6 years of data we can truly track our progress.
We have also this year updated our work on power usage as we entered our second year of solar energy powering the office. 222 solar panels and associated hardware would be expected to reduce our impact on the grid and we report on that.
Another activity has been driven by our CIO, Keith Herlihy including recycling our IT equipment and at the same time supporting worthy local causes.
Once again we have added a section on developments in DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) and a more comprehensive ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) focus.
Corporate Protection Chairman launched the report and stated:
Once again, I believe that the Corporate Protection Annual Sustainability Report is a critical contribution to ensuring that our environmental performance is accessible to our clients, shareholders, staff, and other stakeholders.
As always I formally pledge that we will proactively seek ways to improve our performance to allow Corporate Protection to continue to grow sustainably into the future.
