CPA Group sustainability commitment takes another major advance

At Corporate Protection Australia Group (CPA Group), we don’t just talk about our commitment to sustainability, we apply it to everything we do.

In a recent major example in our efforts to drive down our carbon footprint we commissioned energy consultants Corporate Energy & Communications to review our head office power usage and explore if they could recommend ways in which our energy usage could be reduced.

As part of their findings, it was recommended that we replace all of the existing lighting with low energy LED panels and lighting. This was a huge project and took 5 days to complete with our staff working around a team of technicians and their equipment as the project took shape.

CPA Group Executive Chairman, who drove this initiative was delighted: ‘I was very appreciative of our team’s patience through the disruption, but I was delighted that everyone was so positive about what we were trying to achieve. There was also a significant capital outlay of course but it seemed a small price to pay for the impact on our energy usage. And, as with many of these initiatives, good sustainability policy can often result in good financial results as we believe there will be a similar impact on our energy costs. A win for the environment and for CPA Group. I encourage all our staff to come up with ideas and suggestions to support our commitment to long term sustainability.’
