Standing Guard for the Exercises: CPA’s Role in Multinational Military Ops

Talisman Sabre is a large-scale, military exercise co-hosted by Australia and the United States conducted every 2 years since 2005
Exercise Talisman Sabre 2025 was the 11th and largest iteration of the exercise with 19 nations invited to participate.
CPA has been proud to support every Talisman Sabre exercise and once again, we were called upon to provide our services as industry leading experts in the maritime security sector.
The exercise presents a huge logistical challenge for our Security division. With large numbers of deployed Maritime Security Guards required, where advance notice is often very short for security reasons, our team must be ready to answer the call.
Throughout July and early August, CPA staff supported the USS San Diego, USS Rushmore, USS Frank Cable and a submarine during their routine visit to GP Berth. Our teams worked closely with the US Navy, QPS, Port Operations, POB Security and several other visiting agencies to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Our clients were full of praise, noting that our CPA staff presented themselves professionally, remained at their posts, and delivered a highly commendable service. Their attentiveness created and maintained a safe environment for pedestrians negotiating heavy traffic flows, from cars and buses to semi-trailers moving around site.
This was no easy feat. The 24/7 security coverage was delivered under extremely tough weather conditions, windy, bitterly cold days and long nights, yet the team’s professionalism and resilience never faltered.
