Continued innovation in recruitment
by Chelsea Ardley
We have outlined a number of recent initiatives to reflect the tight employment market facing a growing company such as Corporate Protection. We develop strategies to both improve recruitment success and to retain staff at
a time when there is a lot of demand for quality staff.
In a recent networking example, Corporate Protection were invited by Lucinda Sinclair, Senior Lecturer, Deputy Clinical Coordinator at the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine (QLD), Australian Catholic University to deliver a presentation to Paramedical students at the ACU Campus in Banyo.
CP are in consultation stages with ACU of an MOU for practical placement and employment pathway opportunities into industry for their future cohorts and graduates.
Laura Bowart, General Manager – Operations & Tyler Matakamikamica, National Operations Manager – Health & Medical presented the benefits of this program by placing students and future graduates into our remote and real world, frontline client working environments which would extend their exposure and experience even further and set them up for success in a Health & Medical career pathway.
Our deployment of graduate medics during the COVID crisis and recently graduated Fire & Rescue personnel with appropriate experience to sites where risk assessment supports these placements has not only eased the pressure on staffing but is a great pathway to a long term career with Corporate Protection.
Would you believe we already have an ACU applicant [4th year graduate] as a result of Friday’s introduction to CP.
A quote from Lucinda Sinclair:
“We are delighted to share that we have received exceptionally positive feedback from the students regarding Corporate Protection’s presentation and the ensuing discussion. We firmly believe that such insights will be invaluable for the future development of our curriculum, specifically to better prepare graduates seeking employment within the industrial paramedic field”.
