One of Corporate Protection’s most important annual processes is the Staff Satisfaction survey. We work hard to maximise participation and generally like to see over 200 employees submitting their responses.

As part of the process, we map our results against previous years, the results are reviewed by the Board of Directors and the Senior Leadership Team. Perhaps most importantly, our Executive Chairman and founder, Harley Sparke reports to the entire team by video, to report and respond to the survey findings.

As Harley outlined in this year’s video presentation, the purpose of the survey is to understand what we are doing right but probably more importantly what we are doing wrong and need to focus on.

Harley reported that of all the years we have been doing this survey, this was the second most positive result.

Response numbers were slightly down on the past couple of years and Harley encouraged all staff to participate in this year’s survey, to be released in Quarter 4.

A couple of interesting and positive findings:

  • 70% responded that CPPL offers the staff the opportunity to reach their full potential
  • 73% knew the company’s values (a result of particular interest to Harley as this is one of his objectives each year),
  • 80% valued at work,
  • 88% enjoyed going to work

In fact, most of the questions showed a more favourable response than in previous years.

Each year, staff feedback steers management decisions, the senior leadership team is tasked to review the results and meet to decide strategies on addressing any negative results.

As Harley noted:

‘It is not about hearing what we want to hear, it is about hearing what you think’.

We continue to encourage more staff to participate in this annual process which we believe will drive continuous improvement and make Corporate Protection the best employer it can possibly be.
