One of Corporate Protection’s core values is innovation. As is well known, the employment market is facing shortages of qualified staff.

This applies especially to specialised roles and personnel in great demand by our clients, especially as Corporate Protection continues on its growth trajectory.

The option to ‘build our own’ specialist staff is an attractive option. Our capability to do this is supported by Baseline Training, our in-house Registered Training Organisation.

Baseline has the ability to train up Emergency Services Officers, Asset Protection Officers and Maritime Security Guards. An experienced rural fireman with many years of service can be provided with the training to secure a qualification to allow deployment to one of our critical infrastructure sites.

A current example is a new delivery of RII30719 Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue at our fully equipped Head Office facility in Brisbane. This qualification is designed to deliver the core skills and knowledge required of emergency response and rescue team members working in the resources and infrastructure industries, who perform tasks involving a broad range of skilled applications in a wide variety of contexts, which involves some discretion and judgment in selecting emergency response equipment, services, or assist identifying contingency measures.

Our aim is to educate workers within their required field of emergency response and rescue operation so they gain the professional competencies required to maintain their position and extend their capabilities further within the workplace.

This strategy is supported by regular scheduling of courses for interested candidates, the current round will see 15 new ESOs qualified and deployed to CPAFR sites. Good for our client, good for CPAFR and fantastic for our new team members.

“Our candidates, led by our industry qualified trainers, will demonstrate the wide range of skills and knowledge required to respond to emergency incidents.  Candidates received practical, industry leading, hands- on training in Vertical Rescue, Road Crash Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Operating Breathing Apparatus to name a few – all to assist in participating in a rescue operation. We are looking forward to hosting our candidates and working with them to extend their capabilities and confidence further within the field of emergency response and rescue.” commented Laura Bowart, National RTO Manager of Baseline Training.
